Description
L'Angelo at 31 Grande Rue is Barbizon's Italian address -- wood-fired pizzas, pasta, antipasti, a good selection of Italian wines. The shaded terrasse under lime trees is among the most pleasant outdoor dining spots on the Grande Rue. Open Thursday to Sunday (lunch and dinner), closed Monday to Wednesday.
Historical context
L'Angelo has been feeding Barbizon and its visitors for well over a decade, earning the kind of loyalty that survives the occasional long wait and crowded summer weekend. The pizzas are genuinely good. Book for a 7pm table on the terrasse in summer.
