Artisan traiteur, patisserie and epicerie fine. Gault & Millau noted. Takeaway only.
Description
Maison Morin at 57 Grande Rue is Barbizon's artisan traiteur -- charcuterie, terrines, plats cuisinés maison, patisserie and epicerie fine all under one roof. Now run by Victorien Morin, son of founder Laurent, with a fully renovated 110m2 laboratory behind the shop. Gault & Millau noted. Open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. No seating -- takeaway only.
Historical context
Thirty years of Morin on the Grande Rue. Laurent built the charcuterie reputation; Victorien has added patisserie, epicerie fine and a gleaming new kitchen visible through a glass wall from the shop. The white facade is one of the most recognisable on the street. Ideal for a picnic in the forest or a prepared dinner back at your accommodation.
